Construction of another affordable housing project, the $32 million Samma Senior Apartments, has begun in Bothell on the site of the old Ski Hut. In the works since 2019, the 76-unit project by nonprofit Imagine Housing will house people aged 55 and over whose incomes are at or below 50% of area median income. In addition, 20% of the building's residents will be people living with disabilities. This is the latest affordable-housing development in the region, where hardly a week goes by that a nonprofit doesn't announce a project.
